Young people: I can't live without my cell!

Media system dependency argues that the more we use a particular type of media, the more we become dependent upon it. Young people have what has been described as an addiction to mobile devices and the Internet.  One recent study says that young people spend more time using such devices than talking. They use some type of media an estimated 10 hours and 45 minutes per day.  Tray Carter asked students what it's like to lose access to their cell phones. It can be a traumatic experience.
